Case study / MediHub

Making healthcare AI easier to understand.

A published educational resource for clinicians, with a clear boundary between the work delivered and outcomes still to be evaluated.

The challenge

Healthcare professionals need a way to distinguish AI application categories and connect them to daily work. Tool lists alone do not explain how to assess a use case, identify risks or decide whether to run a pilot.

The published work

I prepared “How Doctors Can Benefit from AI in Daily Practice”, an educational resource published on MediHub.app and attributed to Akber Ahmed. It introduces diagnostics, decision support, documentation and communication applications. The source identifies its audience as senior medical staff.

The project makes a broad technology subject easier to explore through a structured web resource. It gives readers a starting point for discussion; it does not establish that a featured product has been deployed or evaluated in a particular hospital.

What the work demonstrates

The concrete output is an accessible learning resource. Its value as a portfolio example is the translation of a complex subject into an educational format for a defined professional audience.

The source includes numerical examples and statements about products. Those should be supported by current primary references or clearly identified as illustrative before they are relied on in training. This case study does not treat those examples as measured project outcomes.

Proposed next phase: a practical workshop

The following is a proposed extension, rather than a completed programme evaluation.

  1. Choose one task: draft an internal training outline from a fictional hospital scenario.
  2. Capture a baseline: complete the task without AI and record time and quality.
  3. Try an approved tool: provide clear instructions, a suitable source and a defined output format.
  4. Review the result: identify unsupported facts, omissions and privacy risks.
  5. Compare: include correction time, then decide whether the workflow merits a controlled pilot.

Lessons for healthcare AI education

  • Teach a repeatable evaluation method alongside tool awareness.
  • Separate illustrative examples from documented project results.
  • Use fictional material during practical exercises.
  • Make review quality and correction effort visible in any benefit claim.
